Changing the Conversation with Finance

For IT managers who recognize the TCO problem but face institutional resistance to higher per-unit costs, the most effective strategy is reframing the discussion in financial terms that resonate with decision-makers. Rather than advocating for a more expensive laptop, advocate for a lower five-year cost per seat. Present the help desk data. Quantify the productivity impact. Show the replacement cycle math.
